Liquid Intelligent Technologies named Best Regional Wholesale Operator at World Communication Awards

Liquid Intelligent Technologies has been named as ‘Regional Wholesale Operator of the Year’ at the 2018 World Communication Awards (WCA).

The WCA award recognises Liquid Intelligent Technologies’s ongoing contribution to the growth of Africa’s digital infrastructure – and its belief that everyone in Africa has the right to be connected.

The team of independent judges commented that Liquid Intelligent Technologies had submitted “a really impressive entry from a company that is looking to revolutionise connectivity across the whole of Africa”.

Liquid Intelligent Technologies beat off strong competition from across the globe with the award shortlist also including GlobeNet in Latin America, Optus Wholesale in Australia, Orange Wholesale France and Deutsche Telekom’s International Wholesale Business.

For 20 years the World Communication Awards have recognised innovation and excellence for global telecoms, and today continue to be the most revered mark of achievement in the telecom industry. At last year’s WCA awards Liquid Intelligent Technologies was named as the Best Operator in an Emerging Market.

Glenn Maule, Head of Wholesale Sales at Liquid Intelligent Technologies, who received the award, said “All of our recent awards recognise the hard work, dedication and innovation of the entire Liquid Intelligent Technologies team spread across Africa. We will continue to offer the quality network connectivity in the continent, combined with a multitude of innovative value-added services to help our customers grow their businesses and live a more digital life.”

Earlier this week Liquid Intelligent Technologies received the title of ‘Wholesale Service Provider of the Year for Africa’ for the second consecutive year at the 2018 MEF Awards. Last week, the company was named ‘Best African Wholesale Carrier’ at the annual Global Carrier Awards for the seventh consecutive year. The company has also been shortlisted twice at the upcoming AfricaCom awards in the Best Network Improvement’ and ‘Changing Lives’ categories.
