Liquid Intelligent Technologies wins AfricaCom award for its AfriCAN marketing campaign

Liquid Intelligent Technologies’s AfriCAN campaign has been named Marketing Campaign of the Year at the annual AfricaCom awards held on Wednesday evening in Cape Town.

Designed to show real pride, determination and an unapologetic belief in Africa and African business, the AfriCAN campaign has been warmly received by customers and the wider market since its launch in May.

AfriCAN was developed by Liquid Intelligent Technologies to help raise the company’s profile within the business community in Africa, particularly targeting the banking, mining, manufacturing, distribution and retail sectors.

The campaign was specifically designed to avoid tired and patronising African clichés that are seen so often in marketing collateral – no tribal dress, no game, no rolling hills or lonely trees. It illustrates how Liquid Intelligent Technologies helps its customers make and save money by providing Africa’s fastest and most reliable broadband.

Mitch Webber, Head of Marketing at Liquid Intelligent Technologies, said: “Liquid Intelligent Technologies has received many accolades over the year and it’s great that the efforts of our marketing team have been recognised. Together we are building Africa’s digital future.”

Liquid Intelligent Technologies has a long history of success at the AfricaCom awards but this is the first time its marketing activities have been recognised by the judges, which identified AfriCAN as an inspiring and effective marketing campaign.

Liquid Intelligent Technologies was recently named as the Best African Wholesale Carrier for the fifth year running at the Global Carrier awards.
